Finca & Winery Bell Lloc offers you all the authenticity of the Costa Brava region. Located in the Gavarres mountains, next to the town of Palamós, in the county of Baix Empordà it is by far one of my most favorite wineries in the world. The journey through the valley up the mountain to the finca allows you to discover various sites of cultural heritage: hydraulic flour mills, Vila-Romà castle, the Bell-lloc shrine, the ice wells and the Montagut dolmen.

The Gavarres mountains, together with the Begur, constitute the northern end of the Catalan coastal mountain range. It forms a large arc that opens to the North, halfway between the counties of Girona and Baix Empordà, and covers an area of 350 square kilometres.
Driving up the mountain on a dirt road to reach the finca and winery you feel a sense of peace and tranquility, surrounded by lush greenery, some interesting artwork and a slow pace of life where you can truly connect with nature and experience quietude and a sense of freedom in the vast open spaces.
Once you are there you are greeted by a very gracious staff who become part of the exceptional tour and tasting. Last time we were there is September 2024, Ponc was our guide and wine expert for the day and he did not disappoint.

I was highly impressed by his professionalism. He was funny, charismatic, really knew how to connect with our group and incredibly knowledgeable not just about wines, but about the region.
